The Lincoln Mystery Plays Archive & The Keith Ramsay Collection
The first known ‘modern’ Lincoln Mystery Play Cycle was performed at The Theatre Royal, Lincoln in 1968 and then in 1978, the plays were resurrected, The Lincoln Mystery Plays Company was born and productions have since then happened every 4 years (or there-abouts!)

About the Archive

The Lincoln Mystery Plays Trust Archive (incorporating the Keith Ramsay Collection) was donated to Bishop Grosseteste University in July 2014. It is made up of ephemera from a variety of performances in Lincoln Cathedral and overseas. It includes the following for some, but not all, productions: photographs, press releases, programmes, reviews, scripts, posters, letters, DVD’s, and Keith Ramsay’s personal scrapbooks. The collection is currently being curated and it is anticipated that it will be available for consultation by September 2017.
